The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival is an annual event that features the best of Texas' wine and culinary scene, plus a street dinner, a waterfront brunch, and plenty of tasting opportunities. Held in downtown Fredericksburg, the festival brings together wineries, chefs, artisans, and food producers for tastings, demonstrations, live music, and shopping in a welcoming community atmosphere that has defined the festival for more than 30 years.

Hop on the Urban Wine Trail
Tour Fredericksburg’s Urban Wine Trail, along historic Main Street, which has been called one of the most beautiful main streets in the United States. The Urban Wine Trail includes over 10 downtown wine tasting rooms, all within walking distance of historic hotspots, including over 150 shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
Insider's Tip: You can take a glass of wine to go and enjoy it while you stroll through the downtown historic district.
Take a Wine Tour
With nearly 100 wineries and tasting rooms in Fredericksburg and Gillespie County, a guided tour allows you to focus on the wine while local operators and experts handle the routes and transportation. Tour formats range from half-day excursions to full-day routes, as well as private group experiences.
Another option is to catch the 290 Wine Shuttle, which runs between downtown Fredericksburg and the wineries along Highway 290 on select days, allowing you to move between stops on your own schedule.
